Highly recommended!
Nice environment and teacher are patient teaching ☺️
I recently had the pleasure of attending a Wagashi workshop, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From start to finish, the workshop was well-organized, informative, and incredibly enjoyable.
Warm Welcome and Introduction: Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the workshop hosts, who provided a brief introduction to the art of Wagashi.
Hands-On Learning: The workshop was highly interactive, allowing participants to get hands-on with the process of making Wagashi. The instructors were knowledgeable and patient, guiding us through each step with clear instructions and helpful tips. It was fascinating to learn about the different ingredients and techniques used to create these beautiful and intricate sweets.
Friendly and Supportive Atmosphere: The atmosphere of the workshop was friendly and supportive, with participants of all skill levels coming together to learn and have fun. The hosts fostered a sense of community, encouraging us to share our experiences and admire each other’s creations.
Take-Home Goodies: As a lovely finishing touch, we were provided with beautifully packaged boxes to take our Wagashi home. It was a wonderful way to share our creations with family and friends and to remember the enjoyable experience we had at the workshop.
Conclusion: Overall, the Wagashi workshop was an unforgettable experience that combined creativity, culture, and culinary delight. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in exploring the art of Japanese confections and enjoying a fun and educational activity.
Overall, the pace and size of the class was also just nice and we were able to learn comfortably, and in a pleasant setting. I also had a fun time wearing the 👘 after the class!
I am really happy with what I took home at the end of the class 😃
The space for workshop was comforting and welcoming, the number of participants was 6 during my visit. For someone who has attended quite a number of workshops like this, I feel like this is a good amount of participants, and the instructor was also very attentive and friendly in guiding everyone throughout the process.
For the experience workshop, the ingredients and tools are all prepared, you can just come empty handed and just experience and enjoy the process of making nerikiri wagashi, with two pieces with different designs that you can take home the end of the day.
I’d recommend the experience workshop for anyone who’s interested in learning how to make nerikiri wagashi at an entry level that doesn’t want to go through the process of preparing the ingredients, tools and making the dough. It’s a fun experience, and a very calming one with a friendly and attentive instructor.
And apart from dessert making, we get to tried the kimono as well. The staffs so friendly, accommodating and patient.
Thank you for having us! 🥳
In the fast paced life we live in, this allowed me time to slow down and appreciate the process of creating something beautiful and yummy to take home and reluctantly devour(it was not perfect, but still too pretty to cut into).
Thank you everyone at Yu Wagashi for the memorable experience.
Big shout out to Kelsey and Sammy, who guide us through the experience workshop. It was really fun and enjoyable to learn how to make nerikiri with both of them.
Class started on time.
You can wear the yukata and take great photo after class. Every corner is so INS ✨🫶🏻🍵🍡
Highly recommend.😌👍🏻
It’s definitely a great place to go if you’re looking for a place to learn how to make Wagashi!
Kelsey, our instructor, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The wagashi was delicious, though slightly less sweetness would make it perfect.
The highlight was definitely wearing kimonos and capturing memorable family photos.
The atmosphere was wonderful, and Kelsey patiently guided us through the entire experience. Highly recommend!
